The Role of Tennessee’s State Emergency Response Team in Disaster Recovery

When disaster strikes, the Tennessee State Emergency Response Team (SERT) is there to help with the recovery process. SERT is a multi-agency team that is responsible for coordinating the state’s response to and recovery from major disasters and emergencies.

SERT’s role in disaster recovery is to provide coordination and support to local, state, and federal partners. This includes working with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to provide resources and assistance to those affected by the disaster. SERT also works with state and local agencies to ensure that all of the necessary resources are in place to help those affected by the disaster.

SERT’s ultimate goal is to help the people of Tennessee recover from disasters as quickly and efficiently as possible. To that end, SERT provides a wide range of services and resources to those affected by disasters. This includes everything from providing temporary housing and food assistance to helping with long-term rebuilding efforts.

If you have been affected by a disaster, SERT can help. For more information, please visit their website or call 1-800-222-9000.
