The Connection Between Mold and HVAC Systems

Mold is a type of fungus that can grow indoors and outdoors. It can enter your home through open doors, windows, vents, and heating and air conditioning systems. Mold can also be carried into your home on your clothing, pets, or shoes.

Mold grows best in warm, damp, and humid conditions. It can spread quickly through your home and cause serious health problems, such as allergies and respiratory infections.

Mold can cause a variety of health problems, including:

Allergies

Asthma

Bronchitis

Coughing

Eye irritation

Nasal congestion

Skin rash

Sneezing

Wheezing

If you have mold in your home, you should take immediate action to remove it and prevent it from returning. You should also have your home’s heating and air conditioning system inspected and serviced by a qualified professional.
