How to Respond to a Fire in Your Home

A fire in your home is a frightening and dangerous event. You may be tempted to try to put it out yourself, but the best thing to do is to get out of the house and call 911. Here are some tips on how to respond to a fire in your home:

1. Get out of the house immediately. Do not try to fight the fire yourself.

2. Call 911 from a safe location.

3. Give the dispatcher your address and the location of the fire.

4. If you have any pets, make sure to tell the dispatcher so that they can be taken care of.

5. Do not go back inside the house for any reason.
