As a homeowner, you are responsible for the safety of your home and your family. One of the most important things you can do to protect your home is to make sure it is safe from fire. Here are some tips to help you keep your home safe from fire:

1. Install smoke alarms on every level of your home and outside of all sleeping areas. Test them monthly and replace the batteries at least once a year.

2. Create a home fire escape plan and practice it with your family.

3. Keep flammable items, such as lighters and matches, out of reach of children.

4. Store flammable liquids, such as gasoline and cleaning products, in safe containers outside of your home.

5. Never leave candles unattended and extinguish them before going to bed.

6. Keep your home clean and free of clutter.

7. Inspect your home’s electrical system and have it serviced by a professional if necessary.

8. Never overload outlets or extension cords.

9. Use space heaters safely and keep them away from flammable items.

10. Do not smoke inside your home.

By following these tips, you can help keep your home and family safe from fire.
