Disaster Relief Resources for Tennessee Small Businesses

When a disaster strikes, small businesses are often the first to feel the impact. In addition to the damage caused by the disaster itself, small businesses often suffer from a loss of customers and revenue.

The good news is that there are a number of disaster relief resources available to small businesses in Tennessee. The Tennessee Small Business Development Center (TSBDC) offers a number of programs and services designed to help small businesses recover from a disaster.

The TSBDC’s Disaster Recovery Assistance Program provides grants of up to $5,000 to small businesses that have been impacted by a disaster. The program is designed to help businesses with the costs of repairs, replacement of inventory, and other expenses related to recovery.

The TSBDC also offers disaster recovery loans of up to $2 million. These loans can be used for a variety of purposes, including repairing or replacing damaged property, equipment, and inventory.

In addition to the TSBDC, the Small Business Administration (SBA) offers a number of disaster relief resources for small businesses. The SBA’s Disaster Loan Program provides low-interest loans of up to $2 million to small businesses that have been impacted by a disaster.

The SBA also offers the Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program, which provides low-interest loans of up to $2 million to small businesses that have suffered economic injury as a result of a disaster.

Finally, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) offers disaster assistance grants of up to $5,000 to small businesses that have been impacted by a disaster. These grants can be used for a variety of purposes, including repairs, replacement of inventory, and other expenses related to recovery.

If you are a small business owner in Tennessee, don’t wait until a disaster strikes to familiarize yourself with the disaster relief resources that are available. By taking the time to learn about the resources that are available, you can be better prepared to weather the storm and get your business back on track.
